Design and Development
From the Concept to the Validated and Certified Complete WTG
Multi-megawatt wind turbine generators are always an interaction of mechanical components and the associated electrical control equipment. Thus our electrical and mechanical engineers work closely together in the windwise engineering team. Short communication paths save time, minimize construction effort and guarantee functional results for the customer.
Software Engineering
Windwise has delveloped a SCADA system to enable the wind farm operator to effectively control his wind turbine generator, but also to save time and money in operations management.
Control and Converter Technology
In a globalized world, the design of a wind turbine generator must be engineered in such a way that the wind turbine complies with the grid codes around the world. Windwise has developed such a converter system.

Expert Reports
Lifetime Extension 20+
Site Assesment / Wind & Turbulence
As first step of a lifetime extension analysis Windwise prepares wind and turbulence assessments based on the operating data of the wind turbines to be assessed.
Analytical calculation of WTG lifetime
As a second step Windwise calculates the possible lifetime of the turbine based on the site conditions analyzed in step 1.
Inspection of Turbine and Rotorblades
finally windwise takes care of the turbine inspection to get a clear picture of the technical condition of the turbine. Finally all this is documented in a survey according to the rules and regulations of the German Windenergy Association (BWE)

Support
Technical Support
2nd Level Support - Analysis of Operating Data / Troubleshooting
The second level support of windwise gives quick support to solve technical problems with your WTG. Especially here, the windwise engineers score with their technical knowledge, which is partly based on more than 25 years of professional experience in the wind industry.
Turbine operation
We examine your wind turbine generator in accordance with the test methods laid down in the BWE principles “Principles for carrying out an assessment and examination on the continued operation of onshore wind turbine generators (BPW)”, as well as the current DIBt guideline for wind turbine generators and the specifications and standards of DNV GL.

Innovations
Innovations
Self-sufficient Energy Supply - Behind The Meter
windwise offers its customers comprehensive support in project planning for the realization of self supply projects – called behind the meter projects. Windwise helps their customers to become independent from rising energy prices and to become “greener”, by taking care of the entire project life cycle – from first idea, via project development to operation of the WTG – always with the help of the maxcap technology.
Hydrogen Production
Green hydrogen is also seen as a beacon of hope for the energy transition. On the one hand, it serves as a CO2free energy carrier for industry and is an important raw material for the chemical industry. On the other hand, hydrogen can replace fossil fuels in the refuelling of aggregates, as well as cars and trucks.
These electrolysers require a steady power supply in order to achieve the highest possible efficiency in the process of electrolysis. This requirement is perfectly fulfilled by the maxcap WTG, designed for a maximum amount of full load hours
Drinking Water Treatment
windwise cooperates with SYNLIFT Industrial Products (SIP) in the field of seawater desalination (MWE). The maxcap technology with a high number of full load hours offers ideal conditions for SYNLIFT’s WINDdesal projects with a comparatively balanced power output. SYNLIFT offers the entire range of services from project development, technical planning and – in cooperation with partners – turnkey implementation and technical management for an entire WINDdesal project – consisting of MWE and wind farm.
Isolated Network Solution - Black Start Capability
Black start capability is the ability of a wind turbine generator to start up from a switched-off state independently of the power grid. The windwise team has developed the maxcap WTG in a way that it has the ability to synchronise itself autarkically.

Current Topic - Self-supply of Electricity - "Behind the Meter"
What does “Behind the Meter” mean?
Every electricity consumer has meters in their premises that calculate how much energy in kWh was taken from the grid.
In simple terms, everything that happens on site, on the energy consumer’s side, is “behind the meter” and, in turn, everything that happens on the grid side is then considered to be in front of the meter.
Until recently, there wasn’t much you could do behind the counter to save money, except turn off the lights and machines when they weren’t needed.
There has been a recent shift in the world’s awareness of renewable energy. There are now a number of ways for companies to minimise electricity costs and optimise their energy balance.
In this context, investments in a form of renewable energy generation are becoming increasingly popular.
The return on investment when purchasing a maxcap wind turbine generator can be substantial.
As an entrepreneur, you can reduce your electricity purchases from the grid and significantly improve your carbon footprint.
